SLAM JAM AND VANS PRESENT CHECKERED HOME.

Slam Jam and Vans team up to build a home. The Checkered Home is a spatial concept that stays or moves but always lives. A hybrid space where local creatives can work on their thing and show it to their people, every day, if they want to. The Checkered Home residents are local talents that need a physical platform to build what they like, from making music to carving sculptures.

This pilot project starts in March 2025 within Slam Jam's Milan renovated space, and evolves throughout time with different residencies that will be disclosed over time. The first guest is a band called Cimitero Celeste and has no Instagram. The home will shape according to the guest lenses throughout the weeks, and open the door to the public to celebrate with a live act.

The project by Slam Jam and Vans aims to travel the world over time and act as a temporary or permanent platform for creative souls with no easy access to physical spaces for their craft.
